Department of Chemical Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune has organized a workshop on “Applications of MATLAB”, during 18-19 May 2018 in association with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune. Chairman for the workshop was Dr. Anand Bhalerao, Principal, BVDUCOE, Pune and Conveners for the workshop were Dr. Sunita M. Jadhav and Dr. Veena A. Shinde.

Contents of the workshop were well distributed in six sessions which included the topics such as Basics of MATLAB, Arrays, Loops and Execution Control, MATLAB files: Scripts & Functions, Program Output and Plotting, MATLAB Clones, Applications of MATLAB in Digital Image Processing, Applications of MATLAB in Artificial Neural Networks, Applications of MATLAB in Machine Vision (Demo) and Raster data handling & GIS Capabilities in MATLAB.

The resource persons for this workshop were Dr. Sanjay Kadam, Associate Director, C-DAC, Pune, Dr. Yogesh K. Singh, Principle Technical Officer, C-DAC, Pune and Mr. T.S.Murugesh Prabhu, Emerging Solutions & e-Governance Group, C-DAC, Pune. The workshop has received 33 participations from renowned academic, research and Industrial organizations of Maharashtra such as Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, Equinox Software and Services Pvt. Ltd, Pune, High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) Pune, Software Technology Park of India, Pune, JSPM College of Engineering, Pune, K. K. Wagh College of Engineering, Nasik etc.
