The Department has the following mentioned laboratories. There are total 150 desktop machines available in these 8 labs, of which 100 desktops are with i3 processor configuration and 50 desktops with i5 processor configuration. From these 8 labs, 6 labs are for Undergraduate programme while 2 labs are for Postgraduate programme.

There are two research labs in the department, Research Lab-I and Research Lab-II, which are at present utilized for Postgraduate programme, M.Tech (IT). The same labs are also used for research based undergraduate projects.

The major domains of research are: Software Engineering, Natural language Processing, Code Optimization, Machine Learning, Computer Networking.

The faculties of the Department are regularly publishing the articles in peer reviewed journals. Till now, the total publication count in international journals, by the faculty is ------ . The UG and PG students also publish the paper in peer reviewed journals, based on their project work. Till now almost 180 UG and 50 PG students have published their articles.

Yes. The cell is called as “Information Technology Students Association (ITSA) “. The students of second and third year handle it. Various events organized under this cell are:

  • Guest lectures/Workshops by IT experts
  • Project Competitions
  • Social events

Yes. The Department has a separate library which has more than 500 text and reference books, previous year project and seminar reports, hand-written notes on different subjects etc. This library is also handled by the students of ITSA.
